How are "First vehicle" and "Last vehicle" defined in TrainController?

Mr. Freiwald answered the question in the forum as follows:

• The first vehicle in a train consist is always the one shown furthest to the right in the Locomotives & Trains window.
• The last vehicle is always the one shown furthest to the left in the Locomotives & Trains window.

Forwards and Backwards

• A train is moving forward when it moves to the right relative to the Locomotives & Trains window (first vehicle is leading).
• A train is moving backward when it moves to the left relative to the Locomotives & Trains window (last vehicle is leading).

Stehender Zugverband

• Ein stehender Zugverband hat keine Fahrtrichtung.
• Die bei den einzelnen Fahrzeugen eingestellte Fahrtrichtung kann bei stehenden Zugverbänden in entgegengesetzte Richtungen zeigen.
